Once I Organized the Freezer

It's like the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. Once I cleaned the freezer I discovered that we had one loaf of bread. Since I make our bread and it takes some time, had to think about when to do that.

Monday was the day. I decided on two recipes because really bread making takes most of the day so might as well stock the reorganized freezer.

First up Oat and Wheat Sandwich Bread from Smitten Kitchen. I haven't made this for a while but sourdough starter has not been fed, so no sourdough.

Once that was started my go to Honey Buttermilk. I used half bread flour, half fresh milled mixed wheats.

Then a nap with a couple of the cats, some reading and it was time to make dinner. I was not so excited to go back into the kitchen and certainly did not want to spend much time cooking, so Roasted Salmon Nicoise Platter. I've made this many, many times for us and for one of my personal chef clients.

Gluten free, hearty, delicious. Monday I did not use eggs, I shaved a little parmesan over and potatoes that we grew!

Now embracing the rainy day from Fred. No need to go out, looking at knitting, reading, relaxing.
