Cookbook Release Party!
After a week of relaxing for the eye, I had a week of being pretty busy with work. I cooked for a longterm client on Wednesday, Thursday was dentist, a meal for Loving Meals Ministry and prep for cooking for a new client on Friday. Yay for all clients!

I was a little tired after working on Friday, but got home early enough to take a 20 minute rest, shower and head to the Ansley Mall Cook's Warehouse for the book release party.
What book you ask? Why Virginia Willis' new book:
The party was wonderful with food and drink, friends and family. Virginia autographed many books and also read from the very personal forward.
We had a choice of bourbon, bourbon with ice, bourbon with water or bourbon with Coke. I sipped on a bourbon with water.
There were appetizers, and yes this is a pork rind platter filled with pork rinds.
There were sandwiches, salad, brownies and cookies. Delicious!
I was fortunate enough to be able to test some of the recipes while the book was in progress so I got to taste some recipes before I got the book. The shrimp rillettes, the cheddar biscuits, the goat cheese caramel, wonderful. I browsed through the book yesterday afternoon and can't wait to try many more recipes, the sweet potato grits really caught my eye!
It's a beautiful book by a beautiful person, so hurry and pick it up and enjoy the stories and recipes.
